Platinum OG is just as precious as the metal it’s named after. This indica-dominant hybrid strain asserts itself as one of the “heaviest” strains around. Platinum OG is purported to stem from three strains: Master Kush, OG Kush, and a third unknown parent. Flowers are lime green and plump, with prominent orange hairs and a platinum coating thanks to the abundance of THC crystals. A brief, heady onset settles into a powerful physical sedation suitable for nighttime use and pain, stress, or anxiety relief, making this precious strain a robust healer.

Platinum OG reportedly grows to a medium height, producing average-sized yields of silver-trichome coated lime-green buds during a 63-day flowering period. The strain is also reported to grow best outdoors in a warm, sunny climate; and is resistant to mold, mildew, and diseases. Apothecary Genetics claims the strain tends to produce soothing, body-calming effects and has a flavor of fresh pine nuts.
About this strain: Do-Si-Dos
The seed bank is working on an F2 line of Do-Si-Dos phenotypes — Do-Si-Dos #9, #18, and #22; as well as the unreleased #4 and #13 — all of which reportedly grow tall and deliver average-sized yields in a 70-day flowering time. The entire F2 line also shows hermaphroditic tendencies inherited from the OGKB parent in approximately 5% of the population, according to the seed bank.
Of the three released phenotypes, #9 is described as the most potent, dense and resinous — producing heavy amounts of dry sift — as well as a strong, cookies-and-kush aroma and flavor.
Meanwhile, #18 exhibits thick, prominent resin glands and a strong OG Kush aroma, while #22 is a purple, aromatic, grape-flavored phenotype recommended for making ice hash.
About this strain: GMO Cookies
While Mamiko seems to have called it just GMO, dispensaries were understandably wary of having that “GMO” label on their shelves and went with Garlic Cookies instead. GMO Cookies is said to carry a flavor of garlic, mushroom, and onion that descends from its Chemdawg lineage.
Divine Genetics also has a strain that’s a cross of Chemdawg #4 and GSC that it calls Chem Cookies. Despite the similar genetics, it appears to be a different strain with different phenotypes for both parents, although it’s worth noting that some people do confuse two strains. GMO Cookies is said to produce olive green buds with bits of purple and orange blanketed by a mantle of trichomes.
